5.5.4 Successful identity registration of a client might include provision of an account and/or electronic identity for that client. If elements of a client's electronic identity are to be delivered electronical y, both the client and the e-Government service must be authenticated to an appropriate level of assurance to protect this information. Alternatively, some or al of this information may be delivered to the client via out-of-band channels to an independently verified address, telephone number, etc. Authentication is discussed further at Section 7.
