  • definition of the service provision environment, considering: - the information assets in the system; - the assumptions that can be made about the service; - the boundaries of the service; - the external connections and other third-party interaction required; this includes consideration of information exchange requirements, pre-requisites for each connection, balance-of-responsibility for management, etc; - the likely attack groups and what compromise paths they might exploit; - the transactions that wil support the col ection, processing, exchange, storage and disposal of information; - the delivery mechanisms required to support different elements of the service (eg internet, telephone, text, post, etc) and the access mechanisms that wil be employed (eg government gateway); - service delivery and the potential for outsourcing elements of service provision.
